Something is up in Hennepin County and it appears to involve arrests for voter fraud. On January 25 I reported on the only arrest I've heard about in Hennepin County, ever, for voter fraud. The location of that alleged incident was not known, other than it involved Hennepin County.

But tonight I have learned from the jail roster of a second incident and this time North Minneapolis appears to be involved...


According to information on the jail roster Jonathan NMN Kidd (DOB 4/19/66) was arrested on January 24 on a charge of ineligible voter knowingly votes. Bail was $5,000.

Kidd was released from custody on January 29 but given the fact there was a MN DOC hold, I looked on the offender locator and sure enough, there he was. Here's the side view:

Though the jail roster says this guy has no middle name, MN DOC knows him as Jonathan TERRELL Kidd. Based on the birthday, it's obviously the same guy.

He's imprisoned on some kind of domestic assault. How he allegedly voted, or how somebody allegedly voted in his name (leaving poor Jonny Cell-side holding the bag!) is unknown.

Is there a wider investigation happening into voter fraud in Hennepin County and these two recent arrests are the harbinger of more arrests? Or is this a fluke? JNS blog doesn't know the answers but I sure know the hot questions.

Kidd's address on the jail roster is 1220 Upton Ave. N., a homestead owned by a relative with the same surname. Kidd has an impressive rap sheet and here it is; keep in mind not all charges may represent actual convictions.
