Minneapolis police who were looking for Rayjohn Henry Bryant (a/k/a Rayjohn Horn Bryant) got their man, who was walking along with Kevin Duprie Beasley, pictured above from Beasley's most recent stretch in prison.
In the criminal complaint, police describe how they recovered two pistols, one from Bryant and the other...
...from Beasley. Allegedly, Beasley took off running and was desperately trying to get rid of an object stuffed in a white tube sock in the front of his pants, but he had some trouble doing so. The object was, of course, a pistol.
Beasley later told officers the pistol had been used in a "stain" (robbery) and he was keeping it for some other guy.
Beasley reportedly lives at 2000 Glenwood Ave. N., a homestead owned by Shirene Taylor.
God bless the brave police officers who pursued two armed men through our troubled streets, and took these men and firearms out of circulation. There is no way to properly thank these officers, but each Thanksgiving a number of North Minneapolis citizens sponsor a dinner at the Fourth Precinct and make some token attempt to show our thanks.
