Being the amazing, true-to-life adventures and (very likely) misadventures of an Afghan war vet who seeks to take his education, activism and seemingly boundless energy to North Minneapolis, (NoMi) to help with a process of turning a rapidly revitalizing neighborhood into something approaching Urban Utopia. Don Samuels Promotes North Minneapolis, "We Are Almost Healed"
Here is video shot by Worldisflat17 and posted to YouTube of Don Samuels speaking at a recent fundraiser. The event was held at Local D'Lish, an organic and local foods store owned by Ann Yin of the Jordan Neighborhood, and located in North Loop. Much of the North Loop is in Samuels' Ward.
There is another Don Samuels fundraiser tonight at the Mill City Cafe, California Building--2205 California Street NE. The fundraiser is from 5:30 to 7:30. This is not very far from the Metro Top 100 Party that I posted about yesterday, click here, so if you're going to one you can probably hit the other as well.
