Seeking Out Information About The Burger King Shooter, Denell Malone, Jr.

According to the Star Tribune, Denell Malone, Jr.. 18, has been arrested in the brazen daytime shooting of Haywood Eaton, 18, in the parking lot of Burger King, on West Broadway and Bryant in a dispute reportedly arising from a woman and the use of a vehicle.

A search under the name "Dennell Malone" (please note, two "n's" not one) turns up numerous interesting legal documents involving a case stemming out of Twin Cities gang crime. This may OR MAY NOT be Dennell Malone, Sr., (two n's) the presumed father of Denell Malone, Jr. (one n) The cases clearly DO NOT pertain to Denell Malone, Jr., who at the age of 18 is far too young to be the person involved in the criminal cases which are from the early 1990s. And, besides, Denell only has one "n" in his name.

Here's one of the cases, click here.

More cases turn up under Dennell Malone, but these all appear to be various appeals stemming from the same criminal case against gang members. Search "Dennell Malone" on Google.

Addendum by comment: Fox 9 news had an interesting story up for several minutes, then the story disappeared off the website.

But check out the really interesting URL!

"Have it your way" (at Burger King?)

Some techie put a little too much humor into his job today.

I'm sure this is a typo, but in that case report it says "A second gun was found in his ear."

Dennell Malone (Sr.) was a shotgun crip gang member who got caught up in an MPD / DEA wiretap case back in the early 1990's. He and another guy named Jermain Saunders hired a hit man to come from California to kill a rival dope dealer. Ultimately police recovered more than 15 kilos of cocaine and took down the leadership of the gang. They actually stopped the hit man (Calvin Delphit) in a car on his way to north Minneapolis to do the hit. Malone was sentenced to LIFE + 20 YEARS (!) in federal prison. He was a bad, bad guy. His son is Denell Malone Jr. and he is a chip off the old block.

What's the matter, couldn't they find a local hit man, like in Edina?

In regard to the URL, it had the words "have-it-your-way" in the URL.

In regard to the typo...

No, the gun was found in his EAR. It was a brutal and senseless crime that froze the soul of veteran police officers.

I found the Fox 9 story again. It is on their website but for some reason it doesn't come up in my Google search with the other stories come up about the Haywood Eaton shooting.

This is actually the best stories with the most details, including the names of two involved parties: Nichael WIlliams and Marshawn Stevens.
