Bashir Moghul Paints!

There are times when watching paint dry can actually be EXCITING. The property at 318 27th Ave N, just around the corner from where I live, is owned by Bashir Moghul. Suspected illegal car repairs have been a regular occurrence over the past several weeks, and also had a maroon-colored retaining wall, which was spray-painted, and then covered up with splotches of white.

One neighbor, who saw the spray paint before it was quickly covered up, said that what was painted on the wall were...

...phrases like "drugs sold here" were all over the wall. That account is unconfirmed, as well as any such behavior, but worth mention in light of the kinds of tenants frequently renting from Moghul.

So as Bashir retained an attorney, John and I have contacted that person to make sure Moghul knew of the issues at 318 27th. Fairly soon after that, the wall was painted one uniform color again.

This is a small gesture, but a positive one nonetheless. I still have my doubts about Bashir's ability to turn around and become a good landlord. But as he makes such an attempt, JNS will be there to document it. And frankly, I would RATHER see a slumlord emerge from the problems Moghul has had and become a contribution to our community. Either way, JNS will be there to document it.
