The NoMi Passenger blog recently aired an idea that I can totally hop on board with: it's time for the "grace period" on tornado clean-up to end, time for excuses to cease and some work to actually get done, already.
Responsible North Minneapolis Citizens should stop holding off on the 311 calls and start dropping a dime on piles of debris, houses open to the elements with no sign of repairs, and yards with out-of-control foliage.
As for any house in that special, unique, one-of-a-kind category of having a wooden spear sticking out of the side:
The grace period for THAT was up several weeks ago.

And maybe it's time John Hoff brought his house up to code and painted his garage. Tornado damage isn't his excuse.
