When police entered 1401 Oliver Ave. N. in search of Price Ladeen Boyce, they found Boyce along with his wife and children. They also found "deplorable" conditions at the house, including decomposed food, trash, and feces all over the house. Boyce's wife and three children were there, too, living in the filth along with Boyce, who is accused of being a drug trafficker. Oh, also Boyce's mother and father were there.

At the house, police found a digital scale with cocaine residue. Boyce told police...
...that he uses crack cocaine "daily."
Interestingly, police are charging Boyce with possession of a firearm because he had a BB gun, which is described as a "CP99 Compact Carl Walter ULM/DO .177 caliber BB gun."
Hey. That thing could put out an eye.
Boyce has multiple prior convictions, including a drug crime from 1999. This makes him ineligible to possess any kind of firearm. Yes, even a BB gun. And if I were Boyce, I'd also avoid potato guns, nail guns, possibly replica firearms or gun-shaped cigarette lighters. If one of my children brought a toy gun into the house (with its deplorable conditions) and he was running all over the house (stepping in garbage and feces) with his toy gun, I'd be all like, "GET THAT DAMN THING OUT OF THE HOUSE!!! YOU WANT YOUR DADDY TO GO TO JAIL?! AGAIN!!!???"

Gee, what was an admitted daily user of crack cocaine doing down in FLORIDA? If I read the charges right, he was accused of burglary and grand theft auto. But this was back in 2009. Interesting how long this stuff lingers on the internet.
The house at 1401 Oliver Ave. N. is owned by somebody named Laurie J. Dick. It is not licensed as a rental. No sale history is listed for the house on the city's property website because the city's property website continues to suck. The address also turns up on a "snapshot" of the Hennepin County jail roster as the reported address of somebody named Joel NMN Chiester.
I have to wonder if there's any coordination between police, city inspections, and social workers. I have to wonder if, when the police entered that house, anybody bothered to notify city inspectors and also social workers about the children at the house and those conditions.

Dream on. Have you seen any coordination to date? Most times the Cops don't even want to get out of their cars.

I don't know how to find it after two or so years, but there was a WCCO/KSTP story about a stash of roughly 50 urine-filled pop bottles and poop piles cached in the woods (I want to say near Roseville, but definitely not in NoMi) that was a suspected jenkum lab. So someone's buying!
