Roderick Hamilton has somehow he ended up in our neighborhood along with so many other Level Three Sex Offenders. But no L3SO moves to North Minneapolis and escapes commentary on this blog, at least not forever...

In January of last year, Hamilton was in a halfway house. I guess he didn't like the halfway house very well, because he disappeared and his severed ankle monitor turned up. To be fair, he did turn himself in at the jail a few days later.
Well, apparently cutting off the ankle monitor and going on the lam wasn't enough for him to go back to prison for a long time, because now he's living in our neighborhood on the 2500 block of Golden Valley Road.
The crime for which he became a Level Three Sex Offender? Grabbing an adult woman he didn't know, forcing her into a car, and raping her.
By the way, since 2010 I have been writing about the dangerous concentration of sex offenders on the 2500 block of Golden Valley Road. I have been writing about this kind of like Hillside Chronicles was writing about the Hillside Hotspot at 1611 Hillside Ave. N. Then one day that house caught fire and, good god, TWENTY-FOUR PEOPLE WERE LIVING IN ONE HOUSE.
So I guess I'm saying it sure would be nice to address a problem like all those sex offenders living on one area; to address that problem PROACTIVELY before something awful happens, instead of REACTIVELY after something awful happens.
Believe me, I'm standing by waiting to say, "I told you so about how too many sex offenders are living on that one block."
