Good Citizen Rescues Dog At Penn And Plymouth, Thugs Demand $10, Citizen Says Hell No...

Contributed photo, blog post by John Hoff

Today a good citizen in North Minneapolis saw this poodle, pictured above, running around in swerving traffic near Penn and Plymouth. The citizen rescued the uninjured dog from traffic and while she was doing so, a couple of thugs demanded $10 for the dog...

I guess since the thugs had seen it first, they figured they either deserved $10 for missing the spectacle of watching it die in traffic or had rapidly-forming-albeit-somewhat weed-addled plans to sell the animal as a "bait dog" for illegal dog fighting.

The citizen said "Hell no" and took the dog. The two thugs could only stand there like little bitches.

The dog is female, super friendly, believed to be a poodle "designer mix" or possibly a bichon frise.

Two North Minneapolis dog lovers have teamed up to watch out for the dog for the duration. If I had to take a wild guess, this dog is a Memorial Day visitor to our neighborhood and got loose in unfamiliar surroundings.

If you are the owner of this dog, call 612-481-8457.

I now return to my regularly scheduled blogging about the civil suit arising from the Larry Maxwell mortgage fraud trial, and caustic commentary on Jerry Moore suing me for defamation after I publicized his involvement in the fraud.

Please also post on Craigslist- Many people use that service to locate missing dogs.
