"Who did the murder victim murder?"
That's the question I asked about Chukwumah Okolie, who was recently murdered on the Northside.
A little digging turned up the fact Okolie was convicted of murder in 1999. In fact, Okolie was on supervised release at the time he was found dead of multiple gunshots in a vehicle at 42nd and Fremont. The murder happened during an armed robbery.
Chukwumah "Terry" Okolie's literal "partner in crime" was the guy pictured above...
...who is Nathan A. Vollmer.
Vollmer was also convicted in 1999, but he didn't get a light 200 month sentence (credit for 285 days served) like his running buddy Chuk. Instead, Nathan Vollmer was sentenced to a much longer stretch and won't be out of prison until 2024. He'll be on supervised release until 2036, so it's possible (even likely) the probation officer he'll have to report to will be a robot.
The year before the murder, Vollmer was convicted of possessing a small amount of marijuana and paid a $50 fine, suspended in lieu of one day of jail time. His birthday is 3/6/1979.
