While Mainstream Media Report Father Of Shot Baby Is A Damn Liar, 17-Year-Old "Uncle" Who Shot Baby Is On The Run, Northsiders Scrutinize Ownership Of 2413 Emerson Ave. N.

Creative stock photo, blog post by John Hoff

In regard to the most recent "Northside baby shooting," police are saying the 17-year-old uncle shot the 2-month-old baby. The father of the baby lied and said the shot came from outside the house, but police figured out otherwise. The 17-year-old is on the run.

I'd be checking buses going to Chicago. Just saying.

This much is obvious about the house at 2413 Emerson Ave. N.

No rental license.

It has now been confirmed that the listed taxpayer, Xenia Grushetskv, (with a "v") is in fact Xenia Grushetsky (with a "y.") Whether this is the same woman who is a young communications professional with a well-developed online profile...not yet confirmed.

But SOMEBODY named Xenia Grushetsky purchased the property in December of 2011 for...

...$110,000.

At the time of the purchase, Xenia listed her address as follows:

XENIA GRUSHETSKY

4100 PARKLAWN AVE #305

EDINA MN 55435

Attempts are being made to confirm or rule out whether this is the same Xenia Grushetsky who is a young communications professional with a well-developed online profile.

So if it had been recently purchased for $45k, but she bought if for $110k, it looks like she got roped into a straw buying scheme. If that's the case, the house is probably bank owned by this point. That, or she just cut ties with the property completely and the residents simply stayed. I don't suppose there is any info on the mortgage broker.

Is it somehow your contention that all this is somehow the landlord's fault, for renting to typical blacks ?
If this tenant is not typical, please explain how the landlord could have legally denied them housing.

IF the landlord doesn't have a rental license, which city online records appear to indicate she DOES NOT, then she shouldn't be renting to ANYBODY.

Renting while lacking a rental license would tend to show a lack of care and concern.

It might also tend to indicate she would rent to no account individuals who couldn't get housing in the LEGAL rental market, since that's the kind of person that "no rental license" landlords seem to rent to in North Minneapolis.

There. Have I defended my hypothesis sufficiently? Crawl back to landlord politics dot com or wherever you anonymously crawled out from...

No, I don't have info on the mortgage broker at the moment. You know who would be good to scrutinize that kind of situation? Jeff Skrenes, the Hawthorne Hawkman, self-proclaimed mortgage geek.

oh, god, Kevin S, suddenly she is a victim, "got roped in", " a straw buyer". Why? Because she is a young white woman?

An earlier version of this story used an apostrophe in the headline on the word "Northsiders."

The word is plural, not possessive, and requires no apostrophe. I caught this mistake on my own and corrected it.

JNS blog deeply regrets the error and strives for clear and correct English.

So it would appear you have a valid Rental License finally, correct?

I'm not required to have a rental license to keep a roommate in my own home, as you found out the hard way, didn't you? Much ado about nothing and I won that one, didn't I?
