Former Residents Told To STAY AWAY From 2700 Morgan Ave. N.

Here's a little nugget of information I picked up from a very reliable source while drinking an "R.I.P. Frank" at Donny Dirk's Zombie Den. It seems the former residents of 2700 Morgan Ave. N. were made to...

...sign agreements they would stay off the property for a whole year. I was hearing strong indications this house is--how shall I put it?--under meaningful supervision by the city in its newly-vacant state.

Already, prostitution in that area has visibly and dramatically plummeted. Wish I could say the same for the part of Penn Ave. N. only a few blocks away, but this is how revitalization goes: we fight for every square of sidewalk, every blade of grass, every little green piece of duckweed on the Jordan Pond. We fight, we push, we meet, we talk, we lobby, some of us blog...and we keep making major progress despite minor and momentary setbacks.

A big thanks to the public officials who made this happen. You know who you are.
