It came to my attention this week that my domain name was registered to my friend, Karl Noyes, who used to be my editor at the Minnesota Daily.
Frankly, I had forgotten Karl's name was on the registration because, between me and Karl, it was always clear that I owned "Johnny Northside Dot Com" and Karl merely helped me with small, geeky things from time to time.
So, to tidy things up, I got the domain registration changed...
Who "officially" owns the domain name now? Well, since a whole five bucks was paid for "a year of privacy and security," trying to find out that information would pretty much require a skilled hacker and a land mine detection team.
But, as readers can see, nothing has changed here at the site except, every day, it gets a little more evolved. I wait with eager anticipation for more juicy documents in PDF form, more video snippets, more oh-so-anonymous information about developing neighborhood issues.
To repeat and reiterate:
They'll shut down my blog when they pry the password from my cold, dead brain.
Being the amazing, true-to-life adventures and (very likely) misadventures of a writer who seeks to take his education, activism and seemingly boundless energy to North Minneapolis, (NoMi) to help with a process of turning a rapidly revitalizing neighborhood into something approaching Urban Utopia. I am here to be near my child. From 02/08 to 06/15 this blog pushed free speech to the envelope, so others could take heart and speak unafraid. Email me at hoffjohnw@gmail.com
