Last night Eco-Village resident "Patty Cake" told me I should have been around on Saturday to take pictures of the "Rebuilding Together" effort. Because I wasn't there, she grabbed a camera and began documenting.
Good thing she did that! We're using some of her pictures in tomorrow's slide show at the big Hawthorne Annual Meeting, Farview Park starting at 6 PM. There will be food and a keynote speech by Inspector Mike Martin, Fourth Precinct Commander.
Photo Above: "The Polish Lady" shows how happy she is about the yard improvements.
Middle: There were both new and familiar faces among the volunteers, but everybody worked hard...lawyers included.
Below: Inspector Mike Martin, to the left, worked next to his father, pictured to the right. That's some kind of garden implement Martin is holding...it only LOOKS like a nightstick.
