RNC 2008: Capitol Rally Pours Into March, Heads Downtown
Photo By John Hoff, September 2
After walking a few miles with a couple thousand folks, the Poor People's March approached the State Capitol, where massive numbers of people joined the march, now heading downtown toward XCel Energy Center and RNC 2008.
The participants of the Poor People's March had walked a long ways, plenty of it uphill, but near the State Capitol you could sense a surge of emotion among the original rally participants. So many new people were joining their march, and cheering!
In the midst of it all, Old Kite Dude was doing his thing. Click for video.
