WORD ON THE STREET: 400 31st Ave. N. Sold To CPED

Photo By Peter Teachout, Junior, Age 6

WORD ON THE STREET is that 400 31st Ave. N., owned by entities controlled by the Kleindl family, and the subject of abatement hearings, has changed hands or soon will change hands. The buyer is CPED.

I always knew in my heart that...

Phil Kliendl and the rest of the Kliendls are good eggs, and don't want to stand in the way of progress and, more importantly, were savvy enough to rid themselves of a property which has become a major headache. Word of this deal made its way around during Saturday's "Rebuilding Together" project at the home of Peter Teachout, "The Polish Lady," and "Patty Cake." I trust the report and know the source of the report, but it is my habit to report matters as "WORD ON THE STREET" when the information is not directly from a knowledgeable source.

When this property is demolished, the trees in the Eco-Village tree nursery will be getting a lot more light. May that day come quickly.
