RNC 2008: "Embedded" Video, A Minor Milestone For My Blog

So here's a minor milestone: the first "embedded" video on Johnny Northside. Yes, "embedded." Like when Amy Goodman asked how journalists would do their jobs in this environment? And a police officer answered, "Ever considered being 'embedded' with the police?"

So I'm embedded. But not like that.

This video doesn't have tear gas, or confrontation...it has young protesters encamped outside the St. Paul detention facility. And they rouse their spirits with a ragged, heartfelt, messy rendition of that old union favorite: SOLIDARITY FOREVER!!!!!!
