RNC 2008: "Nomadical Radicals" Plot Who-Knows-What From Within The "Sphere of Privacy" As Police A Few Yards Away Look On, Helplessly

Photo by John Hoff, September 1

Here, members of the group "Nomadical Radicals" enter the "sphere of privacy" to discuss something they don't want overheard while bike police are just yards away. Good heavens, if the anarchists have gotten their hands on this kind of advanced alien technology, how will the police manage to learn of their dangerous plots?

These groups are like the teenagers of the 1950s who would go around tipping over outhouses on Halloween to make whatever point they're were trying to make. Yet the powers-that-be insist on getting out all the heavy weaponry like these kids (yes, kids) are terrorists, and pointing those weapons at everybody in the crowd where these kids happen to be.

Note how the guy in the foreground of this picture is dressed. Once he whips that bandanna off his face, would you suspect he's with this group? Recently I read somebody's earthy analysis of this identification problem, which was:

"It's like picking a ross goose out of a flock of snow geese."

I would argue sometimes it's much, much harder. And that inside the heart of every snow goose is a radical ross goose wanting to flap its tiny wings.
