In Mears Park, several hours before the Poor People's March was set to begin (though the Star Tribune MESSED UP THE TIME in their Sunday edition) I noticed one of the port-a-johns was oversize to accommodate handicapped patrons. I'd never seen that before but I hope to see a lot more of it. Progress! Yeah, the U.S. Constitution was trampled beneath black police jackboots, but I'm an optimist; and something like an innovative outhouse makes me feel good about civilization and humankind.
