Lisa Mitchell and her two children pose with our biggest catch of the day during the Hawthorne Clean Sweep, a ripped-apart tire still attached to the rim.

I also brought along some packets of perennial flower seeds, and the two kids planted them where we found suitable dirt, which was a nice little break from picking up garbage.
