Weird things you find with all these empty houses in North Minneapolis...this one shows clear evidence of chickens being raised on the back porch.
Actually, I think that's really cool. But you just gotta wonder if they were desperately trying to scape together money to stay afloat, and chickens were part of their creative cost-saving measures before the world came crashing down.
Who knows the stories of the houses? The connections, the social capital (if they knew their neighbors to begin with) it is all swept away in the mortgage meltdown.
