RNC 2008: "Rude Mechanical Orchestra" (Explained In Comic Book Form)

Photo By John Hoff, September 1

How fortunate this portion of the "Radical Marching Band" flyer hasn't been splattered all to heck by shaving cream or whatever like so much of the rest of it...

The little comic book explanation of Radical Marching Bands (as told by radical stick figure dudes) goes like this:

At a protest, two stick figures hold signs saying: BAD STUFF SUX!

They face a helmeted line of stick figure police behind shields saying "COP!" who all exclaim "GGGRRRR!!!" in unison.

"Man, this is depressing!" says one of the stick figures.

"I know," says his comrade, as together they hold up a sign saying, "WE'RE PISSED!"

BUT THEN!!!

"What's that?" ask two stick figures, holding up a sign demanding "More Cowbell."

The next panel is over-sized and shows many figures with musical instruments beneath the words "This ain't your high school marching band." Soon everybody is dancing. Even one of the police figures says, "Crazy in love? Sweet!"

The final panel proclaims: Radical Marching Band: Soundtrack To The Pep Rally For The Revolution!
